Security services in London

SIA-licensed guarding and NASDU-certified K9 units across Greater London: construction sites, vacant property, commercial premises and events.

London is our primary coverage area and the one with the widest range of site types: active construction in dense residential streets, vacant commercial floors between tenancies, industrial units on the arterial roads, and events of every size.

It is also where access and logistics matter most. Congestion charging, low emission zones, restricted delivery windows and limited parking all affect how quickly a unit can reach a site and how a patrol route is planned. We build that into the schedule rather than discovering it on the first shift.

What makes London sites different

Density cuts both ways. Overlooked sites get natural surveillance from neighbours, which deters opportunists, but they also generate more noise complaints, so a dog unit needs handling with that in mind, and an alarm that activates repeatedly becomes a community problem quickly.

Construction in central London frequently means a small footprint with valuable, portable materials and multiple contractors holding access. Logged access control is often worth more than perimeter patrol on those sites.

For vacant commercial property, the risk is less about forced entry than about unauthorised occupation and metal theft, both of which are markedly easier to prevent than to resolve once they have happened.

What covering London actually means

Every security contractor claims rapid response across London. Very few qualify it, so here is the qualified version. Scheduled cover is scheduled: a booked shift starts when it is booked to start, anywhere in the 32 boroughs. Unscheduled response is different, and it depends on traffic, the congestion and low-emission zones, and where the nearest available unit is at that moment.

In practice that means we will commit to an attendance window for your specific site once we have surveyed it, rather than quoting a single number that flatters us across the whole of Greater London. A site in Zone 1 at 3am and the same site at 5pm on a Friday are not the same journey, and pretending otherwise is how contractors end up in breach of their own SLA.

Where we cannot meet a window that would actually protect you, we will say so. That happens occasionally on the far edges of the outer boroughs, and it is better said at quote stage than discovered during an incident.

Sectors we cover in London

Residential and mixed-use construction
Tight urban plots with materials close to the hoarding line and scaffold providing access to every floor. Gate control usually does more work than perimeter patrol.
Vacant commercial floors
The London void pattern is a single empty floor in an occupied, alarmed building. Access is often through legitimate routes, so logged contractor entry matters more than perimeter integrity.
Industrial and logistics
Arterial-road estates in the outer boroughs, with longer perimeters and poorer lighting than central sites. A stronger case for a dog unit.
Retail and hospitality
Day footfall then a night-time economy pushing problems into service yards and rear access. Presence at opening and closing outperforms overnight static cover.
Events and licensed venues
Capacity and flow management, search where required, and door supervision by correctly licensed staff.
